I have been a M$ Windows user since 1991. I've moved from Windows 3.0 to 3.1, then Win95, (and NT on government machines), 98, then WinXP, and Win7, finally Win10. I've used M$ both personally and professionally throughout my military career.
At the same time, I've been certified on IBM's AIX system admin and advanced system admin courses, and I've tinkered around with Unix/Linux over the past 30+ years.
When M$ started making updates (Win11) "mandatory" instead of opt-in (which was arguably the standard M$ model which we had become accustomed to over the decades), I drew the line in the sand.
I decided to make my gaming rig a LLM rig. Bottom line: I am now a daily driver of Ubuntu, and here I intend to remain.
It is a great environment, a great community, and it just works.
