Instagram Finally Lets You Manually Rearrange Your Profile Grid

Now, Instagram is changing the rules by allowing everyone to manually reorder their own photo grid without deleting anything.

To use this new tool, just open the mobile app and head to your main profile page. Press and hold on to any picture you want to move. A small menu will pop up on your screen. Tap the option that says "Reorder grid" to enter editing mode.







Once you are in this screen, you can easily drag and drop your posts into any order you like. Pinned posts will still stay locked at the very top of your page. When you are happy with the new arrangement, you just save your changes. The updated layout goes live instantly for anyone visiting your profile.

Just like the recent features that help you tell the algorithm what you actually want to see, this layout tool puts you in the driver's seat. It is a nice step forward for user control, especially since the app also had to remove encrypted DMs recently.
