The update cuts chat lag and stops random app freezes
Microsoft recently shared exact numbers showing how much the software improved. The most obvious change happens when you swap between different conversations. The company changed how its app loads data, which cuts the waiting time for chats to load by twenty percent. This makes jumping from a group channel to a private message feel much quicker, especially on older computers or a weak internet connection.
The changes are even better if you use Apple hardware. Microsoft found specific code problems that caused the app to completely freeze on Mac computers and mobile devices running iOS. By moving background tasks, such as network checks, out of the main process, the team reduced major freezing issues by thirty-five percent. This means macOS users should see way fewer spinning wheels when trying to get work done.
Finding people is also much quicker now. On mobile devices, searching for a coworker is twenty-five percent faster. Instead of talking about new artificial intelligence tools, Microsoft is finally treating basic speed as a top priority. It shows that sometimes the best software update just makes the app do what it is supposed to do without slowing you down.
