Linux is an amazing system, but it has always had a gigantic barrier to entry for new users.
In my pursuit of spreading Linux among more people and burying that pain 6 feet deep, I developed QuickHatch - a tool for people who don't have time to spare when installing a new Linux distro.
In short, QuickHatch is just a harness for the LLM of your choice. It supports all the frontier providers, independent providers, locally hosted models, and models from subscription plans, if allowed. It has a GUI, as well as the same interface in the CLI, helps ground the model with web search, asks the user additional questions, provides a stunning design corpus, lets you select which apps to migrate, plans the whole operation, puts guardrails on what the model can execute, and much more...
I want to help bring more people over to Linux and would highly appreciate any form of feedback or sharing of this project!
