Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the Bluefin/Aurora project for a while now. The concept of an OS that handles maintenance, updates, codecs, and drivers out of the box sounds like a premium experience.
I’m currently planning a new desktop build (AMD-based, Linux-compatible hardware) and want a system that just works without me having to fiddle with layering, specific repositories, or manual maintenance. While I enjoy tech and software, for this specific machine, I want to move away from "tinkering" and toward "using."
For those of you using Bluefin or Aurora:
Is it truly "set it and forget it"?
Can I realistically just install it and expect everything to work OOTB without needing to manage sources or manual updates?
What has your experience been like long-term?
How do you feel about the project's direction overall?
I’m interested in hearing about your real-world experience—is the "no maintenance" promise actually delivered?
