• Cyberattackers are taking aim (https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/over-900-us-gas-station-tank-gauge-systems-exposed-to-attacks/) at Internet-exposed automatic tank gauge (ATG) systems in the United States, according to a warning (https://www.ic3.gov/CSA/2026/260602.pdf) by several US government agencies,
• Americans lost $3.5 billion (https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/ftc-warns-of-record-35-billion-losses-to-imposter-scams-in-2025/) to imposter scams in 2025, with reported losses nearly tripling since 2020, according to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC),
• The UK and Canada are planning to introduce a ban on social media (https://www.darkreading.com/cyber-risk/uk-social-media-ban-privacy-experts-worried) use by children under the age of 16.
