For me, that question led to the creation of two open-source projects: PocketPilot and Archangel Security Suite.

At first, they appear to solve completely different problems.

PocketPilot focuses on personal finance management.

Archangel Security Suite focuses on cybersecurity and defensive security tooling.

But both projects share the same philosophy:

Technology should empower people by giving them more control, visibility, and confidence.

Managing personal finances is important, but many existing applications are overloaded with features, advertisements, cloud dependencies, and complicated interfaces.

Sometimes users do not need a massive financial ecosystem.

PocketPilot was created with the idea of building a simple, lightweight, privacy-focused budgeting tool.

Instead of forcing users into another application ecosystem, PocketPilot brings financial tracking into the command line.
