Hermes Swarm Update: Segmented Tool Batch Dispatch (Faster Parallel Tool Calls for Agent Swarms)
Hermes released a new “segmented tool batch dispatch” update that makes Hermes Swarm agent tool-calling much faster by running all safe tool calls in parallel and only holding back the ones that must wait, instead of forcing the entire batch to run one-at-a-time if any call isn’t safe. The script explains the “one-at-a-time problem,” shows how independent tasks like reading files, searching, fetching, and listing can now fire simultaneously, and describes how Hermes filters calls for safety, runs parallelizable subsets, then merges results. It highlights benefits for multi-step agent work (research, file editing, lookups, reports) and references workflows like Hermes Oracle plus an Agent OS Kanban setup.
