iPhone Ultra Production Enters Final Adjustment Phase, New Report Says

Apple’s first foldable iPhone is moving closer to launch, although the exact release timing remains unclear as Foxconn completes final adjustments to the manufacturing process. Apple is still expected to unveil the iPhone Ultra alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup at its September event, with sales likely starting shortly after the announcement.



DigiTimes reports that Foxconn is carrying out final mass-production adjustments for the foldable device. The wording does not confirm a serious production problem, as manufacturers often make similar changes before increasing output for a major product launch.



Apple has reportedly placed strict quality standards on the iPhone Ultra because it will be the company’s first foldable smartphone. The company also waited for Samsung Display to develop an inner screen with a less visible crease before moving ahead with production.



Limited availability remains possible



Earlier reports suggested that Apple could delay the iPhone Ultra until early next year, while later claims pointed to a shorter delay of one or two months. More recent expectations suggest that Apple will announce the device in September, although stock may remain limited during the first few weeks.



For now, Foxconn’s final adjustments suggest that production work continues ahead of the expected launch. Apple has not confirmed the device, its release date, or its availability plans.
