Prelude Dark Pain Preview (PC)

Drawing in as many enemies to Tammais is always a good idea. He’s big, he has health, and he can dish out plenty of damage. More importantly, one of his special abilities taunts enemies, making sure they do not attack his more vulnerable companions. I end his turn, and two opponents strike him, one from the flank, so I then use Tizon to heal him back up.

Soren and Gala are the big damage dealers, striking from behind when possible and using barrels to blow armored enemies up. But it’s hard to end their turn in the Defensive stance, so I try to move them out of harm’s way. Akh Burut, the boss of this battle, can heal his allies, so the plan is to focus on him before eliminating the henchmen. Maya, from a defensible position, is using her own skills to weaken opponents, but she has already taken a few hits and might be in trouble if the entire enemy force focuses on her.
