Forsaken Realms: Vahrin's Call Review (PC)

While modern action RPGs are great, they all tend to have a similar story, where you are the hero and you have to destroy the enemy forces. With Forsaken Realms: Vahrin's Call, you get something different, as you are a mercenary trying to navigate a world that was shaped by personal ambition, political conflict and there are also people just trying to survive.

The game has been in development for over a decade, and it’s definitely something that you see right off the bat. It’s an indie RPG through and through, so don’t expect top of the line UE5 visuals. However, the game itself looks incredible, and the universe they made here looks very much like a real place.

I like the fact that the entire story doesn’t rely around you. Not being a chosen one and instead just focusing on getting some coin via quests is refreshing, and I felt it really made the gameplay feel more cohesive and consistent.
