What happens in Cape Fear Episode 10?



Spoilers ahead for Cape Fear Episode 9 and the finale.



The story enters its final stage after Anna discovers the truth behind Melissa’s murder. Crystal killed Melissa and allowed Max to spend years in prison for the crime. Anna also learns more about Luke’s connection to the Cady family while collecting evidence that could finally expose Max.



Meanwhile, Zack’s disappearance leaves the Bowdens fearing that Max has taken him. Natalie and Noa also become directly involved in the family’s attempt to stop Max, pushing every major character toward the final confrontation.



Episode 10 begins with Max losing control after learning what Crystal did. Anna and Noa try to use recorded evidence against him, but his arrest does not end the danger. Max escapes and targets the Bowden family during a hurricane, turning their home into the location of his final act of revenge.



The finale also reveals that Max unknowingly killed his own son, a discovery that leaves him emotionally shaken. Anna, Tom, Natalie and Zack then work together to overpower him. Anna eventually decides against killing Max and allows the authorities to return him to prison.

Yes, Episode 10 is the final episode of Cape Fear. Apple presented the show as a 10-part limited series, and the finale completes the main story surrounding Max Cady and the Bowden family.



The ending leaves the family physically safe, although Max’s actions continue to affect them. There is currently no confirmed plan for Cape Fear Season 2.
