T-Mobile Launches 36-Month iPhone Payment Plan Ahead of Expected iPhone 18 Price Hikes

T-Mobile is launching a new 36-month payment plan as buyers prepare for higher iPhone 18 prices later this year. The longer financing period lowers monthly payments and spreads the cost of the device, taxes, and fees across three years instead of the usual two.



Apple raised prices across much of its product range in June after memory costs increased sharply, although current iPhone models avoided those changes. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are still expected to cost more than their predecessors, which will make monthly payment options more important for many buyers.



T-Mobile EIP Flex 36 explained



T-Mobile calls the new plan EIP Flex 36, and it allows new and existing customers to finance eligible phones, taxes, and checkout fees over 36 months. Well-qualified customers can get the phone with no upfront payment and 0% APR for a limited time.



However, those terms depend on credit approval, and customers with weaker credit may face upfront charges or interest rates as high as 24% APR. Buyers should review the full agreement before choosing the plan because a lower monthly payment can still result in a more expensive purchase when interest applies.



The plan offers a practical option for customers who expect to keep their next iPhone for at least three years. It also gives buyers an ownership route, unlike Apple’s new Upgrade leasing program, which lowers monthly costs but does not transfer ownership at the end of the term.



With iPhone 18 prices expected to rise, three-year financing will help reduce the immediate cost, although buyers should compare the total price before signing up.
