Windows 11's out-of-box setup is packed with forced updates, ad-heavy promo pages for Microsoft 365 and Xbox Game Pass, and a mandatory Microsoft account sign-in with no local account option. Microsoft says OOBE will get faster and calmer by the end of 2026, but the MSA requirement isn't going anywhere.
