I feel tempted to go back to Windows, mostly because of certain games I play. I’ve been using Mint for about 4 months now and I really like it, but there’s still the hinderance of support for certain apps. I tried using Ableton Live but it just didn’t work, Fortnite is a big game for me since I play almost every day with friends, and I’m now having problems with Red Dead Redemption. On Windows everything just works, and on Linux, at least in my experience, mostly everything works with a couple of exceptions.
However, I don’t really want to go back because of the new Recall feature that’s coming relatively soon. Windows is also starting to really annoy me with the amount of bloat and how much of a resource hog it is. Not to mention Microsoft continuously pushing their bullshit onto their users. I want to reiterate I love Mint, I’ve dedicated 4 months to using it and most of what I do works, but there’s the few exceptions I need Windows for.
So I’m kind of at an impasse. I’m not really sure what to do and I want honest input. It feels worth it to keep dual booting because that means I don’t have any unnecessary bloat on my system, but at the same time, I miss the convenience of everything just working when I click on it, no matter what it is.
What do you guys think I should do?
